Ozzie Guillen brought the World Series trophy home to Venezuela. Nice story coming from a place where too often baseball and kidnapping are in the same sentence.
I also learned what Angels closer Francisco Rodriguez’s (a native Venezuelan) proper nickname is. It’s not “K-Rod.” It’s “Kid.” In Spanish, that’s likely pronounced like Keed.
