Congrats to Dodgers fans, your team has just bought one of the most overrated outfielders in baseball, a guy who sports a .725 lifetime OPS and has an arm that isn’t as good as the one sported by my great aunt. All for $9 million dollars a year!

Five years, $45 million dollars for Juan Pierre, according to espn.com. Gracious. Best part about this? The quote on Pierre from human factors expert, GM Ned Colletti:

“”He’s another guy with great qualities as a human being, like Nomar [Garciaparra].”
