Baseball's Insane Offseason Continues

You're up, LA Dodgers, come on down! You're next on the new game show "Horribly overpay for marginal talent!"

Congrats to Dodgers fans, your team has just bought one of the most overrated outfielders in baseball, a guy who sports a .725 lifetime OPS and has an arm that isn't as good as the one sported by my great aunt. All for $9 million dollars a year!

Five years, $45 million dollars for Juan Pierre, according to espn.com. Gracious. Best part about this? The quote on Pierre from human factors expert, GM Ned Colletti:

""He's another guy with great qualities as a human being, like Nomar [Garciaparra]."

That a bucket of balls gets you, well, a bucket of balls.
