Carl Pavano on the Sun Rising in the East

In the last few years, the rumored Yankee pitcher who by comparison has made JD Drew look like an all-time hard-ass when it comes to playing through pain, had this to say regarding the rampant questions about his dedication to his team that have been voiced by his teammates:
“I totally understand why there are question marks”
Well, yes, Carl. I would hope you do. Do you also totally understand that water is wet? Do tell. Further quoth the Pavano:
“My health has been a concern over the years, but as soon as I put that behind me, I think my teammates will be behind me as well.”
Well, regarding your health and your availability to actually try and help the Yankees win I am guessing your teammates won’t be holding their collective breath. To recap, Pavano inks a 4-year $39.95 million dollar contract two years ago, and has managed to take the mound just 17 times since then, with a 4.77 era and a 4-6 record in those starts. He says he is good to go through for spring training, so, hey, at least he will pretend to try and earn some of that $40 million he is stealing from the Yankees.
Underwhelming, to say the least.
