Fantasy baseball tip of the day – power/speed

Everyone knows Alfonso Soriano joined the elite 40/40 club last season. No one else was even 30/30 in 2007. In fact, did you know that there were only two guys who were in the 25/25 club?
Guess who. One of the Mets power/speed threats of Carlos Beltran, David Wright, or Jose Reyes? Nope. Five-tool Indians stud Grady Sizemore? Wrong again. A-Rod? Hell no.
The two members of the 25/25 club last season were Jimmy Rollins and Eric Byrnes. People know Rollins is a good player, though some will likely be surprised by the pop. But Eric Byrnes? Really? The player formerly known as one of Billy Beane’s interchangeable parts? The player President Bush would refer to as Byrnesie? Yep, the blonde guy with long hair who is known for throwing his body around the outfield also throws his body around the basepaths.
After playing for three teams in 2005, he settled in at Arizona and put up 26 bombs and 25 steals in the desert for the D’Backs last season, career highs in both categories. Intriguing, isn’t it?
