Looking in on the Recent NFL Mock Drafts

The spin around the usual suspects (non-premium all):
—Don Banks at si.com with his 5th effort, guessing that OU running back Adrian Peterson can be had down at the 10th pick overall.
—At foxsports.com, this fourth mock from nfldraftscout.com gives Brady Quinn to the Lions at #2 overall. I feel safe in saying, if that happens, the Frog’s briandtw will run amuck in southeastern Michigan and it will take large tranquilizers to calm him.
—The most recent of the sportsline.com mocks is The Sports Xchange’s, where they also pinwheel Adrian Peterson down to the 10th pick overall.
If Peterson really does drop down that far in the first round, I would guess that is where the first set of potential trades up might occur.
By the way, Michael Silver has his third annual “ultimate mock draft” where he guesses how a team might draft if every current NFL player were available. He goes with Carson Palmer #1 overall. Which is insane. But worth a read anyway.
