Diggler grows a pair

When you are an NBA superstar, an MVP candidate, and you are down 3-1 in the opening round of the playoffs, either you step up or you are Kevin Garnett (cheap shot, I know, love The Kid). Dirk Nowitzki decided to step up.

I mean, he was playing at home, his own coach had called him out in the national media before the game, his former coach and mentor was shutting him down from the opposing bench, and his squad had given up a humongous lead to the Golden State Warriors, perennial losers who barely snuck into the playoffs.

So with the game on the line, Dirk stepped up. Put the Mavs on his shoulders, and took home the victory. Now does anyone think he can do that in Oakland?

Regardless, we at Sports Frog thank you, Dirk. Now we get to see more of this:

The Sports Frog was started by a bunch of sports-loving friends in January 2003. We were nominated for a bloggie this year and we'd like to thank our ISP, all of your unobservant bosses, and God. (God loves us more than other blogs.) If you are here for the first time be sure to swing by The Swamp and say hello.
