Kobe Bryant Appears to Have Changed His Mind Again

He’s back to wanting to be traded. Don’t take my word for it, take Kobe’s (via his own website—big hat tip to Swawp beyond-all-timer Hood* for the catch and mention in the Swamp).
In perhaps related news, according to Mike Bresnahan in the LA Times, a recent letter to Lakers season-ticket holders claimed the Lakers were “committed to winning”. That same letter also did not mention Kobe Bryant.
The trade speculation is back in full force this morning. A quick scan of the national and local sports talk shows will confirm this to be true. Sadly, this likely means extended air time for Stephen A. Smith.
By the way, Bresnahan notes that the above linked blog entry, although originally posted May 30, now has a June 17 date but is worded exactly the same. So, is it new news? Old news? No news? That speculation can begin anew as well.
