Lobbying for Pacman - stay or go?

ESPN's Matt Mosley (who incidentally recently started writing a great, daily NFL blog for the wwlis) pointed readers to this Tennessean column from Sunday that states, "In an attempt to rehabilitate his public image, Pacman Jones has changed his look."

Well, in an attempt to rehabilitate Pacman Jones' public image, the Tennessean is apparently trying to herald Jones' value.

Mosley writes on Monday afternoon:
I did talk to a member of the organization last night who said Jones would never play another down for the Titans.
And anyone who asks Titans coach Jeff Fisher about the Jones issue gets what is his now standard response, "We have moved on."

But the Titans are clearly struggling with the idea of cutting him like the Bears cut Johnson on Monday. Why? Value. Which means dollars still matter most and no matter how many conduct policies the NFL has, the priorities will remain the same.

And the bottom line value of Pacman Jones right now is at least three million dollars. That's how much against the salary cap it would cost the Titans to drop him.

So the Tennessean wants the Titans to try to trade Jones.

They concluded their Sunday column with:
Rest assured, there are plenty of people out there who would be interested -- at the right price.

Some teams would sign Osama bin Laden if they thought he could help in the return game.
Hell, if it's someone else's problem, it ain't ours right? Wrong.
