But if you want a laugh, he’s ranked all 32 teams heading into camp. And he’s put the Lions at #13.
(Pauses. Waits for laughter to subside.)
That would be ahead of Dallas, Carolina, Cincinnati and Jacksonville (among others). My Brady, but he does love him some Jon Kitna.
Plus, there’s this bit of irony (yeah, I think it’s irony, someone run it by the irony police and let me know) in his non-football thoughts:
“We ought to be ashamed in this country when events like hot-dog eating contests gain popularity — the Coney Island fiasco was actually covered on New York sports-talk radio on my vacation — instead of inviting revulsion. Stomach-gorging is not a sport, and it is abominable to try to make it one in a country where too many people go to bed hungry every night.”
