The Michael Strahan Saga

Still holding out of camp. Still trying desperately to get someone to care.

Apparently Strahan and his agent hatched a plan this past off-season to measure his marketability should he be able to talk the team into a trade or force his release. It involved his agent calling around to teams to gague interest. And, ah, for any team to actually respond to that phone call would have been, what's the word, oh...tampering.

Needless to say, the Giants were not aware the phone calls were being made. The agent is denying making said calls. And the really fun part? Apparently those that were called didn't express a whole lot of interest in Strahan.

"One GM says there would be a limited market for Strahan. 'Who gives a guy a contract at 35 with the durability history he has? The only team that is going to pay him is the Giants.'"

Ouch.

Good luck with your holdout.
