Upheaval in New England

OK, so Rodney Harrison is having logic problems with respect to his explanation for having been caught having used HGH. Um, Rodney? Using HGH to speed up the healing process from an injury when no one else (supposedly) can? That would be performance enhancing, despite your protests to the contrary.
Four game suspension. Patriots will just plug in some unknown and not miss a beat, I am sure.
Plenty of discussion is unfolding in the Swamp over this topic here. And, GC, in response to your usual inquiry over the lack of journalistic outrage with regard to what Harrison did versus what happens with baseball? My usual answer: look me up when baseball suspends its stars for a quarter of the season without pay on their first offense. Never minding that the NFL has been exacting that kind of punishment for a few decades now, as opposed to being forced into it kicking and screaming following a Congressional fiasco like baseball was.
The NFL will always have the credibility upper-hand on this issue. Because it has earned it with at least trying to be proactive.
While on the subject of New England, profootballtalk, in their infamous “rumors” section, is murmuring that the Patriots are considering cutting Randy Moss loose. Take that with ten billion grains of salt, as that section of that rag allows Florio to throw anything at the wall, and if it doesn’t stick, hide behind the, hey-I-said-it-was-a-rumor defense to shield him from having to be credible. Still, juicy enough that, what-the-hell, we’ll play too. If he gets this right, props to Florio in this instance.
