Rod Envy

One of the nice things about having bigtime blogs (that ESPN personalities secretly read between Who's Now segments) is that they have a budget large enough to afford enough Jolt Cola to stay up and watch all the baseball postseason games. Thank goodness for Deadspin, for making my week. That is your scrappy little second baseman Dustin Pedroia doing his best A-Rod impression.

Tangent: Also, props for Leitch to having a similar reaction to the redface. He even googled and found the same Christian Science Monitor article that I did. Which just goes to show you that NO ONE in the mainstream media is writing about this.

UPDATE: Swamp sun god Hood finds one mainstream writer covering the story, albeit stupidly and incorrectly.

In January 2003, a group of sports-loving friends launched The Sports Frog. In the time since, we have become an oasis for intelligent sports discussion on the Web. That's right, we said oasis. If you are here for the first time be sure to swing by The Swamp and join the conversation.
