12 in a Row

That would be wins in a row at home to start the season. The Dodgers have tied the 1911 Detroit Tigers for the MLB record. Considering they are welcoming Washington to Chavez Ravine tonite, the odds are in their favor to go ahead and set the record. Add in that they tied the record last night with the corpse of Jeff Weaver on the mound, and you have to like the roll they are on even more.
What is helping the pitching rich Dodgers fulfill their promise? In my view, them lucking into Orlando Hudson who languished on the free agent market FAR longer than was reasonable. His defense and overall professionalism at the plate and in the clubhouse was a nice surprise get for the Dodgers as they got ready for training camp.
