Stewart Cink Lives. The Tom Watson Dream Effectively Died on 18.

Pretty much it in a nutshell. Cink, playing several groups ahead of the final scrums, birdies 18 to get to the clubhouse at -2.
Watson, after birdying 17 to get to -3, heads to 18 needing a par to set all sorts of really cool golfing marks. Unfortunately, he goes long on his second shot, can’t get up and down, and the bogey sends him to a playoff.
Where, all at once, age appeared to finally be a factor.
And, I finally find an answer to my own personal question. What would it take to get me to watch 18 holes (and more) on a Sunday at a major when Tiger Woods is not around? It took a rather stout run at history.
