Brandon Jennings

Yeah, that 55 over the weekend (amassed in the last three periods solely) was an eye-opener. And then some. Good enough that I went searching out the Bucks/Mavs game last night (doing anything possible to avoid Browns/Ravens) and found it on NBA tv.
The over-riding impression from that game? That he has “it”. Not so much from his stat line, although it was damn fine (25/8/7), but from other little things. Things like:
1. At the end of the game, with it tied, there was no question from anyone on the court that the ball should be in his hands.
2. From the electricity of the Milwaukee crowd. For a franchise that has been as “in the wilderness” as the Bucks have been of late, that was noteworthy. There are good NBA fans in that city, and you could tell that they have seen enough to know that Jennings is genuinely for real.
And, I have to tell you, as a Grizzlies fan, that hurt. My hatred of the Grizzlies front office and owner Mike Heisley reached a new level of rage last night, watching the crowd respond to the fourth quarter comeback led by Jennings. The NBA really can be fun. It blows having to watch that occur somewhere other than Memphis, always.
At any rate, congrats to Bucks fans. And for the rest of anyone that wanders over this way on the ‘net, locate a Bucks game. Jennings is already worth watching.
