That’s about as excited as you’ll see me get over Zack winning the AL Cy Young award.
Sure, I guess this was the perfect chance as a Royals fan to enjoy something. Of course, that something was from an abysmal season that failed to meet modest expectations, but it was at least a significant something, right?
Instead, I find myself more relieved that the BBWA didn’t fuck this up instead of happy that Greinke won in pretty convincing fashion.
I don’t think it’s supposed to be like this as a sports fan. Then again, I root for Missouri, the Royals and the Chiefs. Disappointment is constant.
Yeah… I need to enjoy this.
