Matty’s Toe Iced

NFL

Some highlights from Today’s early slate:

–Matt Ryan jammed his toe early in the Falcons’ victory over the Bucs. Backup Chris Redman performed admirably, throwing for 243 yards and a TD to Roddy White with 26 seconds left for the 20-17 win. Josh Freeman continues to play well, so maybe it really was Ron Prince’s fault that he never lived up to his potential at K-State.

–Philadelphia let Washington control most of the game before David Akers kicked a go-ahead field goal with less than two minutes remaining. No idea why LeSean McCoy wasn’t in when the Eagles were going for the touchdown down 24-16. Eldra Buckley instead was in, and got stuffed twice from the one before finally getting into the end zone on his third try. McCoy did get the two point conversion.

–Look on the bright side, Houston… At least Kris Brown didn’t miss a kick.

–Seriously though… are the Texans going to have to score 30 unanswered points to make sure that the Colts don’t have a chance to come back?

–Brady Quinn was the Browns’ second leading receiver.
