The local Fox affiliate went to do a story about the shot.
And the reporter makes a half court shot with his back to the basket on the first take for the teaser.

We all know the drill. Promise someone a great prize for winning a contest by making a shot or similar athletic achievement blindfolded. Have crowd in attendance go wild as the shot badly misses, leading the person blindfolded to believe–at least momentarily–that the shot went in.
Thing is, the shot actually DID go in.
But Branstrom, who wasn’t familiar with the setup, got the last laugh by swishing the 47-foot heave. No joke, a shorter version of the video on YouTube generated more than 2,400 hits by early Monday evening.
Ha. Take that Olathe Northwest. Someone better buy that guy those Final Four tickets.
